Change the active sentences to passive sentences if possible. ( Some of the verbs are intransitive and cannot be changed). Keep the same tense. Include the by-phrase only if necessary.

je voudrais savoir ce que veut dire " keep the same tense " et "the by-phrase " exactement

    1) Someone was making the coffe when i walked in the kitchen .
J'ai donner comme réponse : " The coffe was being made when I walked to the kitchen"
    2) The judges will judge the applicants in the basis of their originality.
On m'a dit qu'il ya deux possibilité : the applicants 'are going to': 'will' be judged on the basis of their originality.
    3) Is professor Rivers teaching that course this semester?
J'ai donner comme réponse : " Is this course going to be taught by professor Rivers this semester? "
    4) When did someone invent the radio?
    When the radio was inevented?
    5) The mail carrier had already delivered the mail by the time I left for school this mornning
J'ai donneé comme réponse : " The mail had benn already delivered by the time i left for school this mornning"
    6) Ever since I arrived here, I have been living in the dormitory because someone told me that it was cheaper to live there than an apartment.
J'ai mis comme réponse : ' Ever since I arrived here, I have been living in the dormitory because I was told that it was ch=eaper than living in an apartment '
    7) They are going to build the new hospital next year. They have already built the new elementary school.
Ma réponse : ' The new hospital 'is going to'/'will' be built next year. The elementary school has been already built.

Just when you think life is boring, it surprises whith you with some very excitting experiences!
One day i was in a bank when thre thieves bursted in. They were wearing masks and holding guns and one of them yelled out: " This is a robbery. No one moves!". At that time, a pollice officerstanding outside saw what was happenning in the bank and he crossed the street and tried to jump into the bank.
The police officer was too fat to get in by the revolving door, so the thieves couldn't stop laughing while they were putting money in bags. It was quite funny and terrifying moment.
When the thieves wanted to escape, they realized that the revolving door was the only exit of the building and they had no choice but to surrender.
Thanks to the police officer, the thieves were arrested and he finally became hero.

Le voici ' You have been asked to wrte an article entitled: An Unforgettable April Fool's Day for a teenage magazine. Your article should be between 120 and 150 words '

    Hello!

Je voudrais savoir ce que veut dire "keep the same tense" et "the by-phrase " exactement

The bird is eating the worm. (Forme Active, Présent Continu)
The worm is being eaten by the bird. (Forme Passive, Présent Continu + Participe Passé)

The bird has eaten the worm. (Forme Active, Présent Parfait)
The worm has been eaten by the bird. (Forme Passive, Présent Parfait + Participe Passé)

The bird eats the worm. (Forme Active, Présent Simple)
The worm is eaten by the bird. (Forme Passive, Présent Simple + Participle Passé)

    1) OK mais attention: coffee et I

    2) This needs a "by" phrase: will judge (future) => will be judged (future + p.p.)

    3) Is professor Rivers teaching that course this semester?

Present Continuous => Present Continuous du verbe "be" + p.p. du verbe "teach"

    4) When did someone invent the radio?
When the radio was [mettez après 'when'] inevented?

    5) The mail carrier had already delivered the mail by the time I left for school this mornning
The mail had benn already [mal placé] delivered by the time i left for school this mornning

    7) They are going to build the new hospital next year. They have already built the new elementary school.
Ma réponse : ' The new hospital 'is going to'/'will' be built next year. The elementary school has been already [mal placé] built.

    OK.
2)the applicants 'are going to': 'will' be judged on the basis of their originality by the judges.
    3) Selon vos indications, la réponse correcte est: "Is that course being taught by professors Rivers this semester?". Je n'en suis pas sûr.
    4) When was the radio invented?
5)The mail had already been delivered by the time I left for school this mornning
7)The new hospital 'is going to'/'will' be built next year. The elementary school has already been built.

    Hello!

    2) En ce cas, le choix 'will' est mieux que 'be going to' car il exprime une action voluntaire. Je mettrais 'by the judges' avant 'on the basis'.

    3) Selon vos indication, la réponse correcte est: "Is that course being taught by professors Rivers this semester?".

    7) 'is going to' est mieux car il exprime un projet.

Just when you think life is boring, it surprises whith you with some very excitting experiences!

One day i was in a bank when three thieves bursted in. They were wearing masks and holding guns and one of them yelled out: " This is a robbery. No one moves!". At that time, a pollice officer standing outside saw what was happenning in the bank and he crossed the street and tried to jump [un autre verbe] into the bank.

The police officer was too fat to get in by the revolving door, so the thieves couldn't stop laughing while they were putting the money into bags. It was quite a funny and terrifying moment.

When the thieves wanted to escape, they realized that the revolving door was the only exit [manque une préposition] of the building and they had no choice but to surrender.

Thanks to the police officer, the thieves were arrested and he finally became a hero.
