    Hello,

Can you help me please and proofread my text?
    Thank you for your answers.

How did I lean to speak English

I started studying English in elementary school. In high school I had English classes so I learned the basic vocabulary and grammar. After, I decided to improve my English and I started watching tv shows like sitcoms and series. My favorite show for learning English is The fresh prince of Belair. I used to watch this show with captioning so I could understand and read what the actors were saying. It helped me understand English speaking. One of my friend was bilingual so I could practice with her. When I got to university, all my readings were in English so I picked up a lot of scientific terms. I didn’t have to submit my papers in English but doing my research, I needed to translate my readings from English to French. After that, I started travelling and I went only to English speaking countries. When I was there, I had no choice but to speak English. So this is how I learned to speak English.
