Hello dears,

Another easy exercice that everyone can do! Let's write together...

1) Do you think that progress (cars, trains, planes, the radio, the Internet, AI etc.) is a monster needing to be tamed?
2) Choosing a job nowadays: which one would you choose?
3) Do you believe in superstitions?
Go for it! with THE FORCE.

Hello dears,

Here is our first expression. Thanks for being so quick and responsive.

ANSWER A: TOPIC3: Do you believe in superstitions? Please, indicate possible mistakes and underline what looks clumsy to you in this text.
When someone asks me if I am superstitious, I reply with a joke:" oh no! I am not, it brings bad luck."
Superstitions are irrational practices. rituals, beliefs dating back several millennia. The view of superstitions is often negative, considered as a false religion, a survival of paganism. Over the time, superstition status has evolved: Superstitions became pacts with the devil, associated with the witches, forbidden, then authorized but mocked by scientists and intellectuals as ignorant people's practices.
However, superstitions are still existing nowadays, superstitions bring luck or misfortune. The number 13 brings good luck on Fridays because it is as rare as luck, but we will avoid having 13 people around the same table because the 13th guest at Jesus's last meal was Judas, he treated Jesus.
When I was a child, I remember spending hours looking for four-leaf clover. I found one that I treasured in the pages of my Bible for years, this kept me happy and gave me confidence.
I'm not afraid of black cats, but of course I wouldn't go under a ladder: accidents are too common there.
Finally, even if they appear as a magic in contradiction with knowledge, superstitions allow to have a minimum of control to escape the fear of misfortune. By the way, many famous people admit to wearing a lucky charm.
for your help!

An interesting text!

Superstitions are irrational practices. (punctuation) rituals, beliefs dating back several millennia. The view of superstitions is often negative, xx (something is missing, unless you change the beginning of the sentence) considered as a false religion, a survival of paganism. Over the time, superstition status has evolved: Superstitions became pacts with the devil, associated with the witches, forbidden (confusion with witchcraft?), then authorized but mocked by scientists and intellectuals as ignorant people's practices.
However, superstitions are still existing nowadays, superstitions bring luck or misfortune. The number 13 brings good luck on Fridays (meaning) because it is as rare as luck (really?), but we will avoid having 13 people around the same table because the 13th guest at Jesus's last meal was Judas, he treated Jesus.

Hello dears!

Very well done!
You've worked a lot!
My indications:
When someone asks me (: 'are you superstitious?'* I reply with a joke:" Oh no! I am not, it brings bad luck."
Superstitions are irrational practices, rituals, beliefs dating back several millennia. The view of superstitions is often negative**, ( because they are considered like (usually no linking word after "consider") a false religion, a survival of paganism. (Over time, the status of superstitions has evolved: Superstitions became pacts with the devil, associated with the witches (les sorcières en général, pas d'article), or witchcraft) forbidden, then authorized but mocked by scientists and intellectuals as ignorant people's practices.
However, superstitions are still existing nowadays, superstitions bring luck or misfortune. (e.g The number 13 brings good luck ( when it is the Friday 13 of a month, because it is as rare as luck, but we will avoid having 13 people around the same table because the 13th guest at Jesus's last meal[ Last Supper] was Judas, (the traitor/who betrayed Jesus ("treat" does not mean "trahir") .
When I was a child, I remember spending hours looking for( a four-leaf clover/or four-leaf cloverS). I found one that I treasured in the pages of my Bible for years, this kept me happy and gave me confidence.
