    Correction/résumé d'anglais ESHS
    Message de anae64 posté le 14-01-2010 à 18:26:28 (S | E | F)

    Bonsoir,
    Merci d'avance
    Anae

For the French government, the driving licence with a penalty point system is now "a prime instrument of the prevention and fight against road unsafety and is part of the training system and monitoring of the changing behaviour of citizens driving".

Since its establishment and its implementation on the 1st July 1992, the driving licence with a penalty point system has always retained its original principle, namely a possible capital whose maximum is twelve points. The purpose of this driving licence with a penalty point system is the awareness and accountability of drivers towards road safety and traffic .A graduated system of fines and withdrawal of points is used to punish violations of traffic laws. When the number of points falls to zero, the licence is withdrawn and invalidated.

The government keeps statistics on trends in the number of road deaths and the balance of points withdrawn since 1993. Since 2002, government policy has gradually become a policy of repression rather than prevention. This results in a dramatic increase in the number of offenses punishable by a deduction of points. However, only 25% of drivers with a more than 3 years licence have not all of their points. Government action affects the statistics. Indeed, the number of killed on the roads down from year to year, and the government puts the figure of 12,000 lives saved and 120,000 injuries saved between 2002 and 2008. This reduction affects all users, users that are motorbikes or cars, and in all age groups.

However, the political repression of the government is not very well received by drivers. In 2006, the number of points removed peaked to 8.3 milllion against only 2.8 in 1998. It was so prevalent on the internet a trick to avoid losing points, the sale of points. Of course, this method is strictly prohibited by law.

To investigate the impact of the driving licence with a penalty point system on drivers, we conducted a survey on a sample of 72 persons. To do this, we performed a questionnaire enabling us to gather information we need. With computer software, we were able to process and analyze the answers submitted. And we saw things rather surprising.

The majority of respondents say that the driving licence with a penalty point system is an effective tool in the fight against road unsafety and to adopt safer driving because of its existence. The gender of respondents had a great influence, men are more divided than women on the issue. Nevertheless, most of young drivers think that the driving licence with a penalty point system is inefficient.

We therefore sought to know what measures were most effective by respondents. And the result is critical towards government, the driving licence with a penalty point system being cited among the least effective measures. Most effective are alcohol testing, urban development and the introduction of mobile radar. So the driving licence with a penalty point system, and prevention campaigns will not reach as many drivers as what might be thought by the government.

    Bonsoir,

For the French government, the driving licence with a penalty point system is now "a prime instrument of (for) the prevention and fight against road unsafety and is part of the training system and monitoring of the changing behaviour of citizens driving".

Since its establishment and its implementation on the 1st July 1992, the driving licence with a penalty point system has always retained its original principle, namely a possible capital whose maximum is twelve points.(c'est long ! a twelve-point-capital) The purpose of this driving licence with a penalty point system is (to make drivers aware of ...)the awareness and accountability of drivers towards road safety and traffic .A graduated system of fines and withdrawal of points is used to punish violations of traffic laws. When the number of points falls to zero, the licence is withdrawn and invalidated.

The government keeps (attention au temps avec since)statistics on trends in the number of road deaths and the balance of points withdrawn since 1993. Since 2002, government policy has gradually become a policy of repression rather than prevention. This results in a dramatic increase in the number of offenses punishable by a deduction of points. However, only 25% of drivers with a more than 3 years licence have not all of their points.(confus!) Government action affects the statistics. Indeed, the number of people killed on the roads down(on identifie mal ce verbe décroître: to decrease) from year to year, and the government puts the figure of (français traduit)12,000 lives saved and 120,000 injuries saved between 2002 and 2008(prétend que 12000 vies furent sauvées...). This reduction affects all users, users that are motorbikes or cars,(confus! This reduction affects bikers and drivers alike) and in all age groups.

However, the political repression of the government is not very well received (perceived) by drivers. In 2006, the number of points removed peaked to 8.3 million against only 2.8 in 1998. It was so prevalent on the internet (n'a pas de sens)a trick to avoid losing points, the sale of points. Of course, this method is strictly prohibited by law.

To investigate the impact of the driving licence with a penalty point system on drivers, we conducted a survey on a sample of 72 persons. To do this, we performed a questionnaire enabling us to gather the information we needed. With computer software, we were able to process and analyze the answers submitted. And we saw rather surprising (épithète)things .("chose" dans un rapport fait un peu commun)

The majority of respondents say that the driving licence with a penalty point system is an effective tool in the fight against road unsafety and to(s'accroche à "tool" ?) adopt safer driving because of its existence. The gender of respondents had a great influence, men are more divided than women on the issue. Nevertheless, most of young drivers think that the driving licence with a penalty point system is inefficient.

We therefore sought to know what measures were most effective by(par ? d'après ?) respondents. And the result is critical towards the government, the driving licence with a penalty point system being cited among the least effective measures. Most effective are alcohol testing, urban development and the introduction of mobile radars. So the driving licence with a penalty point system, and prevention campaigns will not reach as many drivers as what might be thought by the government.(as the goverment might think en voix active serait plus léger)
