    Synthèse/mythes et héros
    Message de livia1313 posté le 02-03-2015 à 21:51:14 (S | E | F)
    Bonsoir a tous,

I am going to talk about the notion of Myths and Heroes. A myth is a popular story or belief that evolved in time and that conveys the ideals of a given society. Heroes are the legitimate characters of myths. A heroe is seen as someone who does things that other people can't or won't do.
How the myths and heroes do they influence the behavior of society american?

We are going to talk about the witch hunts, which have marked American history. In Salem, in the 17th century, more than 150 people were accused of witchcraft. It was really a wave of accusations, paranoia and hysteria. This case had a profound impact: it indirectly led to the founding principles of the USA. But three centuries later, between 1950 and 1960, death sentences, mock trials and mass hatred punctuated the grim years of McCarthyism. Lots of people suspected others, including many directors, of having links with the USSR. A witch hunt began anew at this time. The witches of Salem is the story of another time and nevertheless so contemporary.
After that, we have studied in class a extract of the film "One of the Hollywood ten". The Cold War in full swing, and during the "witch hunt" Biberman learns that he is registered in the blacklisted of Hollywood directors. Thus, his entourage takes away from him.
The myths can be dangerous, and can influence the behavior of people. The image of the movie The Crucible shows us a woman who is accused of being a witch, she will be banished from his own community and burned.

Finally, myths and heroes were in the mind of the American people, because they are part of American history. So they influenced the behavior of society.

    Bonjour..

Errors in blue, suggestions in green..

How the myths and heroes do they influence('How do..'etc) the behavior of society american? (adjectif devant nom; American avec majuscule)

Lots of people suspected others, including many actors and film directors, of having links with the USSR. A witch hunt began anew at this time. The witches of Salem is the story of another time and nevertheless so contemporary.

    Bonjour,
Je viens de lire ta synthèse, je pense qu'il y a certaines choses à modifier :

I am going to talk about the notion of Myths and Heroes. A myth is a popular story or belief that evolved in time and that conveys the ideals of a given society. Heroes are the legitimate characters of myths. A heroe is seen as someone who does things that other people can't or won't do.
How the myths and heroes do they influence the behavior of society american?
We are going to talk about the witch hunts, which have marked American history. In Salem, in the 17th century, more than 150 people were accused of witchcraft. It was really a wave of accusations, paranoia and hysteria. This case had a profound (plutôt deep) impact: it indirectly led to the founding principles of the USA. But three centuries later, between 1950 and 1960, death sentences, mock trials and mass hatred punctuated the grim years of McCarthyism (développe en expliquant de quoi il s'agit).
The image of the movie The Crucible shows us a woman who is(pas obligatoire) accused of being a witch, she will be banished from his (her) own community and burned.
Finally, myths and heroes were in the mind of the American people, because they are part of American history. So they influenced the behavior of society.

I am going to talk about : tu utilises deux fois la même formulation, à quelques lignes d'intervalles, il s'agit d'une synthèse pour l'oral donc il y aura à peine quelques secondes entre ces deux phrases, utilise pour l'une des deux : I'm going to deal with

"A heroe is seen as someone who does things that other people can't or won't do" .Le sens de cette phrase n'est pas clair, essaye de la modifier car ici tu sous entend que les héros font des choses interdites aux autres personnes ce qui n'est pas ce que tu voulait dire je pense.

It was really a wave of accusations utilise plutôt : There was a real wave of

A witch hunt began anew at this time : vérifie cette phrase, elle me semble incorrect, que cherchais-tu à dire ?

we had studied in class an extract , il est maladroit de préciser de tu l'as étudier en classe

The image of the movie : dis plutôt an car tu n'as pas , sauf erreur de ma part, l'image avec toi au moment où tu parles

j'aurais rédigé ça de cette manière : myths and heroes have always been a part of the american socity and history, they're in everyone's minds and they have influence the behavior of this society

    Je pense que c'est tout.
