I want to know if this word-string exists in French: "J'ai été oublié" and if it does, what does it mean in English.

=> I does indeed. It is the passive passé composé of oublier.
Literally, it means I've been forgotten.

J'ai été oublié est correct cela signifie que tu as été oublié par quelqu'un par exemple...

I have another question. In Englisch a verb can act as an adjective. Example: "The door is closed"." the closed door.
I like to know if this ïs also the case in the sentence "J'ai été oublié.
My questions is: act the word "oublié" as an adjectif or only as a verb of the perfect.

Je pense que ça peut se traduire par "I have been forgotten"
It's not the same case for 'the close is door' and "closed door", it's only a verb
An other question or a precision??

Merci pour vos réponds. Maybe you find my question a little bit strange.But in Dutch is it allowed to say: "De deur is gesloten." It is not needed to put "geworden" at the end of the sentence. So the sentence "De deur is gesloten." can have two meanings: "The door is closed", and "The door has been closed". I thought that this is also possible in the French language. But I see that this is not the case in the French language.You have to say: "La porte est fermée." or "La porte a été fermée." Only in the first sentence you can say, that -- fermée-- has the rule of an adjectif--la porte fermée.
